Published in Irish Brides

Aside from jewellery, another of my great passion is flowers. I love arranging and making different combinations and colours, much like putting pieces of jewellery together I guess! I was delighted when a wedding I did the flowers for was published in the summer edition of "Irish Brides". Check out Adrian & Helen's beautiful wedding in Christchurch Cathedral, reception afterwards at Number Six, The Royal College of Physicians, Dublin. Photos can also be seen here

This is my latest fav piece of jewellery. This pretty eyecatching necklace is made with tiny red bamboo coral stones, carved bone filigree and a blue lucite flower. The colors work together beautifully. It is finished with a small extender for the chain and this is completed with 3 pieces of red bamboo coral.

Summer sun; warm, sandy beaches are just some of the images conjured up when looking at red bamboo coral. Red bamboo coral is still used today as a protective talisman against evil spirits. It is often worn by children to prevent accidents and falls. It is said to bring luck to the home, and used as a protector for those who work on or near the water. It can be worn to banish fear, nervousness, anxiety and even nightmares.

Love it!

Style By Numbers
A texan lady living in Dublin. "I’m an ordinary girl who likes to be pretty and thrifty. Looking good doesn’t have to take a lot of cash. Style comes with creativity and ingenuity. I’m always on the look-out for new trends and fashion ideas, but love classic and timeless styles often found in vintage and thrift stores. Being a frugal gal, I ‘ve learned lots of great ways to keep my wardrobe fresh and pretty without a huge investment."

Bead Loom

Just made another purchase to add to my jewellery empire ;o) my first bead loom. A bead loom looks like a smaller version of a loom that might be used to make fabric (like above). Instead of just beading on a single strand, loom beading will allow me to make intricate patterns faster.

Never used one before and it looks complex but am ready to get stuck in. Have lots of ideas in my head; bridal, delicate and elegant, lets see how far I get........ Watch this space.
